The Institute for Sport Coaching is proud to announce it has partnered with Respect in Sport, Canada’s only interactive, online certification program, to provide the best possible online training for coaches and parent to protect our youth and enhance an organization’s mandate for safe, fun and respectful environments for all. Respect in Sport was developed as a grass-roots online tool so sport and community organizations can now actually deliver on their commitment to creating a safer environment for all participants; coaches. managers, trainers, administration and volunteers and even parents
Why should your community or sport organization implement Respect in Sport?
- It further ensures your commitment to your number 1 priority: safety for participants
- It provides your stakeholders with the tools to deal with:
- Abuse (Physical, Sexual, Emotional)
- Emotional Maltreatment
- Neglect
- Bullying & Harassment
- Legal and moral responsibilities
- It helps your organization, staff and volunteers to mitigate liability
- It provides a proactive Risk Management Program for your front-line
- Through education, it helps retain recreation leaders, coaches, officials and volunteers by making them less vulnerable and more confident in dealing with sensitive issues
- It makes a values based statement on behalf of your organization to ALL stakeholders
Respect in Sport is the program you need to train your organizations’ personnel and youth leaders to recognize, understand and respond to issues of bullying, harassment, abuse and neglect. It may be the single most important training your leaders can receive to create a safe, healthy, and positive environment for our children and youth! Of note, the Institute receives a portion of each course fee in return for marketing the Respect in Sport education courses.
