offering products and services: the Institute itself, and
its two centers, the Sport Coach Training Center and
the Sport Coach Leadership Development Center.

The Sport Coach Training Center will offer a tiered menu
of coaching education courses: general, sport specific
and advanced to meet the needs of all coaches ranging
from volunteer youth coaches to full-time college and
professional coaches. The goal is to achieve National
Council for Accredition of Coaching Education (NCACE)
accreditation in all levels. The ISC intends to evaluate
existing National Governing Board programs against
NCACE standards and add any additional curriculum
needed to meet those standards. (Table 1).

The Sport Coach Leadership Development Center will
offer five services: NCACE Accreditation Assistance,
Sport Coach Leadership Fellowship, Sport Coach
Mentorship Program, Sport Coach Program and Sport
Coach Recognition Program. All will be unique in the
national sports community.
