Bonus Two Hours of Instruction!
Coaching Principles is a study of the fundamentals of being a successful coach --before even stepping on the playing field. Each year, more than 25,000 high school, club sport, and Olympic coaches take this course to further their professional development and meet certification requirements.

When: The Coaching Principles course will start at 7pm on July 14, 2006 and end at 5pm on July 15, 2006. This offering will include two hours of bonus instruction.

Instructor: Tim Bacon, the Smith squash coach and a lecturer with Smith's Exercise and Sport Studies Masters program, will be the instructor for this course. Tim is a certified ASEP instructor and a Level 4 Squash Coach. Click here to learn more about Tim.

Course Description:
Based upon the book, Successful Coaching, Third Edition, the course is geared toward coaches working at any level. The course challenges coaches to define who they are as coaches (their coaching philosophy, objectives, and style); enhance communication and motivational skills; become more effective teachers and trainers; and improve team, relationship, risk, and self-management skills.
